Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists help children build the skills they need to confidently take part in everyday life. This includes things like playing, getting dressed, using their hands for tasks like drawing or eating, and moving their bodies safely and smoothly.
They also support families with common daily challenges such as toileting and sleep, helping to create predictable routines and reduce stress for both children and caregivers.
Support may include:
Developing fine motor skills (e.g., using pencils, scissors, doing up buttons)
Strengthening gross motor skills (e.g., balance, climbing, coordination)
Building play and social participation skills
Supporting concentration and attention
Helping with daily routines, such as getting dressed, packing a bag, or brushing teeth
Encouraging independence with toileting routines and supporting children who are finding toilet training tricky
Assisting with sleep routines, including winding down, staying asleep, and feeling safe at bedtime
Teaching strategies for self-regulation, such as calming techniques and managing energy levels
Our therapists work alongside families and educators to ensure strategies are practical, realistic, and can be used at home, school, or care to help children feel confident and capable in the environments that matter most.
